Story

Over the next 2 months, I'll be running the Paris and London marathons. I'm supporting two great local charities - Open Country and Harrogate Hospital and Community Charity.

Open Country supports more than 500 people with disabilities each year, with a range of activities and outings across three hubs, in Harrogate, Wakefield and Teesside. At the heart of their activities are their fully accessible mini-buses which transport their members on daily adventures and outings - a chance for people to enjoy fresh air, friendship and freedom.

Funds raised could help keep their minibuses ready for the road, clocking up miles of smiles and making new memories. The money will also support their ever-popular tandem clubs, which provide the opportunity for people with disabilities to enjoy the thrill of a bike ride.

Harrogate Hospital and Community Charity supports Harrogate Hospital, helping to fundraise for new pieces of specialists equipment, training and services, going above and beyond the provision of the NHS to help enhance treatment and facilities to improve the environment for staff, patients and their families across Harrogate Hospital.

I'm aiming to raise £2,000, to be split equally between the two charities. Anything you can give is much appreciated and will go towards both charities' great work.
