I'm raising £2000 to swim across the North Channel from N. Ireland to Scotland for the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust and the Irish Whale and Dolphin group.

In July 2025 I will attempt to swim across the North Channel from Northern Ireland to Scotland. I'll be raising funds for The Irish Whale and Dolphin group and The Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust. These charities help to protect, research and support our unique ocean habitat on the Scottish and Irish coasts. From whale sightings and data collection, to aiding stranded marine creatures on our beaches and research expeditions, these two charities are providing invaluable support to the ocean and her creatures.
By fundraising for IWDG and HWDT my aim is to promote their work, encourage membership and get folk interested in respecting, caring and protecting our native marine life. Biodiversity is at the heart of a strong and stable environment and the more we can do daily to educate ourselves on the ocean's needs, inevitably the more connected we can become to nature, its health and its inhabitants.
I am very grateful to have found a love of the sea in my twenties, which has now spiraled into this crazy challenge, but for a cause that I hold very close to my heart. I've been sea swimming with the Donaghadee Chunky Dunkers since 2017 and am very proud to be the first (most certainly not the last) from this gorgeous bunch of humans to be attempting the North Channel Swim.
This is a mammoth challenge, one that is going to push me in all ways a person can be pushed. I am already deeply grateful for the support of my friends, family and swimmers all around the world. This is going to be EPIC!
*Absolutely all money raised will go straight to the charities, I am taking none of this money for personal gain, the costs of the channel and subsequent fees will all be entirely self-funded*
