Story

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

After twenty years of ministering since 2005, to fishermen and seafarers of multiple nationalities, in American Samoa, Vancouver Island (BC), and Hawaii, I have been called by God to establish a missional community from a local church, to minister to the international tuna fishing community that annually visits Majuro Docks and Lagoon, in the Republic of the Marshall Islands.

These seafaring fishers are mostly made up of Indonesian and Vietnamese fishermen, but also Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, Korean, Papua New Guinean other Asia Pacific peoples, Micronesians, and Americans (of the US purse seine fleet). The coming together of these people in this one place provides an enormous opportunity to witness the gospel message and love of Jesus through practical and pastoral mission and ministry .

I am partnering with an international church and their pastors on Majuro Island who will collaborate in a missions team. God willing a missional community serving the international fishers and carrier-ship seafarers will be established and continue after my mission trip finishes. That is my prayer. You can find more information about this exciting partnering church at https://www.facebook.com/miec.rmi

The money raised through this Just Giving page is to help facilitate this mission. Please pray into and consider giving what you can to help many people from various cultures and countries to hear the Good News of Jesus and to receive the Word of God in their native tongue.

Money raised will also help contribute towards airfares, travel insurance, accommodations, practical help, Bibles and gift bags.

If you have any questions please feel free to be in touch with me at chris_r_evans_2000@yahoo.com. And for a more detailed breakdown of the history of the vision please go to https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VQ-WPvjIss0yhEBkfeNAHskgyrnvWjr3/view

Every gift big or small would be a huge blessing and greatly appreciated.

"Yokwe" (Love & Blessings in Marshallese) to you all,

Chris Evans
